Aphrodisiac Recipes to Try This Weekend
The definition of an aphrodisiac is a food, drink, or drug that stimulates sexual desire andtheir history dates back thousands of years. While some of the aphrodisiac foods are not necessarily rooted in science there are ones that do possess the ability to set the mood. Here are a couple recipes that could help ignite the passion!
Watermelon Ginger Punch: 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 cup granulate sugar, 1 Tbs. chopped ginger, 4 cups cubed watermelon, 1/2 cup lime juice, mint (optional)
Directions: Place water and sugar in sauce pot and bring to simmer to dissolve sugar and set aside. Put watermelon and ginger in a blender and process until smooth. Strain through a sieve into a pitcher. Add sugar water and stir in lime juice. Pour over ice and add a bit of mint. If you’re feeling really frisky add some vodka!

Bacon, Avocado, Tomato Crostini: french loaf of bread, 1 Tbs olive oil, 4 slices thick bacon, 1 avocado, 1 Tbs lemon juice, 12 yellow cherry tomatoes thinly sliced, 12 shavings of parmesan cheese.
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook bacon and cut each slice into thirds. Place bread slices on baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake until slightly golden (about 10 min). Slice avocado and drizzle with a bit of lemon juice. Smear mayonnaise on bread, add 2-3 slices of avocado, 3-4 tomato slices, bacon, and parmesan shavings!

Chocolate Aphrodisiac Balls: 8 pitted dates, 1 cup walnuts, 2 Tbs cocoa powder, 1/5 Tbs. honey, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, dash of sea salt, dash of chili powder

Directions: Put all ingredients into food processor and pulse until evenly combined and crumby. Form into balls and serve.
