Thanksgiving Side Dish: Slow Cooker Style
If you are anything like me (busy, multi-tasking) then your slow cooker may just very well be your best friend. This is especially true during Thanksgiving when it seems like every stove burner is already spoken for and the oven is at capacity. This year why not try this delicious 5 ingredient slow cooker recipe for creamed corn! All you need is:
3 cans whole kernel corn (drained)
1 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
8 ounces of cream cheese (cubed)
1 stick unsalted butter (cut into thin slices)
Place corn into slow cooker. Stir in milk, sugar, and pepper. Top with butter and cream cheese (do not stir). Cover and cook on high heat for 2 1/2 hours.
Uncover and stir until butter and cream cheese are combined. Cover and cook on high heat for an additional 15 minutes.
