We are constantly told to try this diet or that diet, often with mixed results. Eating healthy does not necessarily mean you must stop eating foods that you enjoy. Try to eat as healthy as you can and eat guilty treats and meals in moderation. Do your best to follow nutritional guidelines and eat your daily fruit and veggies.
While everybody needs a different amount of sleep, most people agree around 8 hours of sleep a night is healthy. Your age and lifestyle may contribute to how many hours of sleep works for you. If you find yourself napping during the day or feeling sleepy you may not be getting enough sleep. Try to turn off electrical devices like cellphones an hour before going to bed to help you sleep.
Your body is unique and may not fit typical health guidelines for exercise, although most people agree at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day is good for your health.
Try to reduce your intake of caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and non-prescribed medications. These habits can be hard to kick once you get started, so if you can at least reduce your intake you may find your health improves.
Drink plenty of water, most people do not drink enough. Our bodies contain about 60% water so keeping hydrated is important.
Wash, shower or bathe regularly and take good care of your hygiene.
Be kind and wonderful to others, keeping a good attitude is important for your wellbeing.
